What is cosmetic dentistry?
Cosmetic dentistry is a range of procedures designed to improve your smile.
Cosmetic dentistry includes porcelain veneers, bridges and crowns, teeth whitening, bonding andwhite fillings.
How do I know if cosmetic dentistry is right for
me?
You can begin by taking a look at your smile. You may not like the way your smile looks, either because of discoloration,
crooked, cracked, or missing teeth. If this is the case, we recommend you schedule an initial consultation.
We will discuss your options so that you are able to make an informed decision about whether or not to pursue cosmetic
dentistry.

Can I have my old silver fillings replaced even if
they aren’t falling out?
Composite fillings are more appealing than silver or gold fillings. Silver fillings usually last just 5 to 8 years and
will most likely need to be replaced eventually. However, if your primary concern is the color of your filling but
the filling is in good shape, you may consider other options such as white fillings or
porcelain inlays.
I have a cavity that needs filling. Is there
an alternative to the silver fillings?
White fillings are quickly replacing the old silver fillings that are part mercury.
Although both kinds of fillings serve the same purpose, white fillings are significantly more appealing.

The only thing wrong with my smile is my yellow
teeth. What can I do?
Our cosmetic dentistry practice offers several different tooth whitening options. You can have this procedure done in the office or at home at your own convenience. In order to determine which whitening option is best suited for
your needs, we suggest you contact our office to schedule a consultation.
What is the difference between a crown and a
bridge?
Crowns and bridges are both considered restorative dentistry. Crowns and bridges are used
to return your teeth to their desired look and functionality. A crown is used to repair
or replace a single tooth. A bridge is used to replace multiple missing teeth.
Crowns and bridges both add stability to the surrounding teeth and give your smile
a more beautiful look.
Can porcelain veneers cover up the gaps in my smile?
Absolutely. Porcelain veneers may be the best cosmetic dentistry option if you need to cover gaps, chips,
permanent stains, misshapen teeth, or washed out fillings. The thin porcelain
veneers can be used for instant orthodontics, which gives you the beautiful smile you have always wanted.
